Residential Condos Foster Community Spirit

Communities are often said to have a certain influence that will help shape the character of a child.
When this is the case, any sensible parent would hope to live in such a place that will foster a conducive and healthy environment for his or her kid.
However, those good old neighborhoods, where the streets served as the natural playground, where relationships are fostered and built and where values are taught and learned, have increasingly become more difficult to find nowadays.
Property developer Robinsons Land Corp. admits that in these days of shrinking urban spaces and expanding multiplexes, such neighborhoods have become few and far between.

“For many of today’s youth, the mall has become the playground. So much so that it has become more common to see kids playing billiards at the mall, hooking up with strangers they’ve met online instead of visiting their neighbors or shooting hoops at the corner,” RLC notes.
Community spirit
RLC took it upon itself to not just provide buyers with “residences” but to also help bring back that community spirit, as it continues to build a portfolio of property developments that focuses on the advantages of community living.
Through its subsidiary Robinsons Communities, RLC has already launched several successful projects, namely: the Escalades at 20th Avenue in Cubao, Quezon City; Mansions in Merville, Parañaque; the Gateway Garden Ridge and The Pearl Place, both in Mandaluyong; and The Wellington Courtyard in Tagaytay.
These projects showed the value of raising families in a close-knit and familiar environment and as such, each property under the Robinsons Communities portfolio is ensured to reflect this philosophy.

ROBINSONS Residences offers compact condo units that are suitable for start-up families.
Owning a piece of the good old neighborhood is also made affordable, particularly for couples who are starting to build their families, according to Chris Narciso, vice president for Robinsons Communities.
“Robinsons Communities offers compact condo units that make it very affordable for start-up families to have their own homes. Offering bare units allows homeowners to choose how to finish their units and makes it doubly affordable for clients,” Narciso explains.
Citing an example, Narciso says that the Escalades South Metro will be a cluster of mid-rise condominium units located on the quieter, flood-free side of the Sucat Interchange.
This development provides an ideal option for those who like their living spaces a little bit distant from the hustle and bustle of city living, but prefer not to sever their ties with the metropolis completely.
“It is a great investment vehicle, considering two-thirds of the land is owned by Robinsons Malls and we expect land value to increase, especially with more Southern families looking for new homes for the second-generation families who wouldn’t want get too far from the area and yet allow easy access to the business districts,” explains Rouen Raz, vice president for sales and marketing of Robinsons Communities.
Escalades South Metro will be a low-density project with just a total of eight towers housing only 12 floors each and only 12 units per floor. Its relaxing, nature-friendly design will also allow light and air to flow freely throughout the floors and the building.
“Escalades South Metro provides the kind of tranquil comfort any metro denizen dreams of,” RLC stresses.
Open areas, green spaces
With more than two-thirds of its 2.2-hectare expanse devoted to open areas and green spaces, there are enough spots for residents to relax, unwind and socialize.
RLC will be constructing jogging paths for the athletically inclined; landscaped gardens for those who like communing with their muses; lap and kiddie pools for residents to refresh themselves; a full basketball court where hoopsters can easily indulge in a pickup game; and even a mini-soccer field for football and futsal-loving kids to practice their moves—the first condominium property to offer such an option, RLC claims.
Security will also be more than adequate, according to RLC, with sturdy walls enclosing the gated property, as well as guards that strictly monitor movements within the area.
Indeed, Escalades South Metro may just be that place where parents can sit back and relax, knowing their kids are safe and sound, while enjoying developing close community ties.
